CooperRose
CooperRose is an Atlanta-based retail start-up building a new path for re-usable cloth diapers and natural baby apparel. Their clothing line is specially tailored for babies of color and they are helping lead advocacy for improved products and product education in underprivileged communities. This education includes breastfeeding, baby-wearing, and other forms of natural-care no longer practiced in the Black and Brown communities.
IDENTITY
We developed the logo design, color palette, and type illustrations for the CooperRose brand. The visual direction takes a bit of old school flair with a new school air combining nods to 1930's type-styling and the illustrative designs found in 1990's streetwear.
"...While looking for old school cloth diapers, I realized that there was a completely new world of alternatives to grandma's diapers and huge diaper pins — with one big problem — the folks in our community knew nothing about them. When I change my little one's diapers, people constantly ask questions and dismiss the possibilities before really giving it a chance. We are hoping that CooperRose can help educate about eco-friendly baby essentials for our community."
